The beautiful Trient Valley was carved out by the retreating glacier, and this run gives you a full tour of all it left behind. This route starts up the gentle “Sentier du Bisse,” an old railway line from the 1800s that was used to transport glacial ice to restaurants in Paris. On the other side, you’ll climb steeply up the slope before contouring around to Col de Balme. This run is varied and adventurous and offers fantastic views of the Trient Glacier.
